<p>Whereas before clients would receive a quote for a full package based on their requirements, we now provide a base price. The starting point being the lowest spec., cheapest possible way of getting the job done. Improvements to print specs. (materials, special finishes) are then individually priced options &#8211; allowing you to pick and choose.</p>

<p>If done properly however, a greetings card can give your company a welcome lift into the new year. Direct mail is known to be one of the most effective forms of marketing. The key is to use the cards and your budget wisely.</p>
<p>Where you intend to send your cards is a very important point. This is the difference between making a return on your investment and wasting money. The first recipients must always be your current customers. It&#8217;s important to maintain regular contact with them; if you don&#8217;t, your competitors will. <p>After extensive research into the Dubai print market, Al Azizi Investments selected mepc to produce a quality, case bound brochure, to represent their prestigious Diamond property development at Dubai’s Cityscape Exhibition.</p>
<p>The brochure comprised 24 pages of text, Printed in 4 Colour Process, plus overall sealer varnish and spot UV Varnish on the photographs, logos and vector illustrations.</p>
<p>Binding was perfect bound &amp; thread sewn, with Spot UV Varnish and Hot Foiling on a special Die Cut flap bound 6 Page Cover.</p>
<p>The timetable for print and production was only 4 days for 1000 copies.</p>
<p>mepc was also commissioned to produce the giveaway flyers, which were produced throughout the duration of the event at a rate of approximately 20,000 per day.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Printing with recycled paper saves landfill space, energy and water consumption. There are now 100% post consumer recycled papers available &#8211; but they are available <em>internationally</em>.<br />
How many thousands of miles would we need to ship recycled paper for us to print with in Dubai?<br />
And how does that compare with normal paper stock?</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Inks are exactly the same &#8211; calculating the impact of your company&#8217;s printing becomes extremely difficult and complicated. So what <em>can</em> you do? <p>Wherever possible, make design decisions which minimize your ink usage. Cut down on solid backgrounds, try using blank pages and more text based designs. <h2>Cut down the excess.</h2>
<p>We see a lot of print media with too many pages and oversized dimensions. Be ruthless with content, cut out pages or sections you don&#8217;t really need or could do without. Keep your designs focussed and lean &#8211; whilst ensuring you get your message out effectively.</p>
